Carla Reighard grew up in Colorado among more animals than humans.

Imagination was her main companion, so she began weaving tales before she could write. As an adult, she created a book, Elle’s Magical Shoes, as a gift for her niece. This led Carla to pursue her dream to publish more stories just aching to get out of her head.
